The officials of Karviná – Fryštát built their PZKO House by themselves and opened it in 1976. Currently, it is dubbed the Polish house and it belongs among the most modern houses in the region. The general reconstruction has been going on throughout the last 10 years and now, the last phase was finished – a new roofing of a terrace that can serve as a stage or as a roofed space for hosting events. Lastly, the construction of a new railing is planned. The terrace is connected to the hall, and the garden also employs a small shed that serves as an all-purpose storeroom. The Polish house features a hall for 100 people equipped with a piano. The small hall can accommodate 32 people. Both halls are equipped with a mounted projector and a sound system. All rooms are connected via a foyer with a sound system, a bar, a refrigerator, a coffee machine, and a tap. The kitchen is professionally equipped. Via the foyer, one can also access a bathroom and the so-called dungeon which serves as the Youth club clubroom. The Polish PZKO House serves not only the group members from Fryštát but also those enrolled in the local group Darkov or the Przyjaźń Club.
