Vendryně

The building of the former Catholic reading hall, which is owned by the local PZKO group in Vendryně since 2002, will celebrate 100 years of its existence this year. The PZKO House „Czytelnia" („Reading hall") is a one-of-a-kind in Vendryně and it serves all of the town's inhabitants. Vendryně is known for its long-standing amateur theatre activity; thus, an important part of „Czytelnia" is a theatre hall with a stage, underneath which is „Hell", a bar which serves as a dressing room during theatrical performances. During larger events, like balls, the main hall is connected to the extension. These spaces can accommodate up to 200 people in total. On the same floor, the ground floor, there is also a bathroom and a small gym used by the artistic-sports ensemble „Gymnasté" („Gymnasts"). This space serves as a guest dressing room during large events. On the first floor, there is a kitchen, a clubroom, and a newly established bathroom. Thanks to a change in the building's layout, a new assembly hall was established which will hold meetings, conferences, and family gatherings. There are two large storerooms in the attic. The ground floor also accommodates a restaurant with outside seating.
